    Description

    Yamaki was one of the premier Japanese guitar makers in the 1970-80 time frame.  On a par with K. Yairi guitars.  This is an excellent example of their quality work.  Great tone and sustain, the guitar shows fair wear for its 40 plus year life, but other than the repaired crack on the top, there is no structural issue.  The guitar exhibited minor belly bulge and a Bridge Doctor was installed which solved the bulge and lowered the action at the same time.  As a result the action is .100 at the 12th fret bass E.  In addition, the guitar came originally with an adjustable saddle, with only two small contacts with the top.  This was replaced with a rosewood shim and a bone saddle at the correct intonation location.
