$ 9767.47

Availability: 28 in stock
  • Number of Frets: 18
  • Condition: This is a very rare Larson brothers made Style 3 WJ Dyer Symphony Harp Guitar. I has a low 60x serial number the number is lower than any known to exist. Due to prior problems many years ago with publishing serial numbers. I am not going to publish the actual number. This has best I can tell all original parts and the top has no cracks but it does show some wear . The back and sides do have a few very tight cracks and they do not appear to have been repaired in fact it does not look like any repairs or alterations have been made. The action is fairly high at the 12 fret a 1/4 inch or more. It is playable in the open positions. I did install new guitar strings the harp has 3 older strings and 2 newer strings. I might include the strings I pulled off the guitar. they were very old possibly original. The fret wear is light overall. This is a old guitar in pretty good condition given its age. Any repairs that might be needed would be up to the New owner. SOLD AS IS !!!

    Description

    1908 WJ DYER SYMPHONY HARP GUITAR  STYLE 3 IN ORIGINAL CONDITION  THIS IS A LARSON BROTHERS MADE GUITAR.  THIS IS VERY LIKELY THE FIRST ONE OF THE SERIES  3 HARP GUITARS TO HAVE BEEN MADE IT HAS A LOWER SERIAL NUMBER THAN ANY THAT HAVE  BEEN REGISTERED. ONLY SEVEN OR EIGHT ARE KNOWN TO EVEN STILL  EXIST. NOW THAT IS RARE !!!
    This is a very rare old guitar,  built in the about 1908  It is in Good condition overall. It has some spots of wear and some signs of age  The action is about  1/4 inch at the 12 fret  the fret wear is light. It has a few tight cracks on the back and sides and none appear to have been repaired. Their are no cracks on the top period.  The paper label inside is in good condition and easy too read and the 60x serial number is easy to read and their  is no doubt in my mine that this has  the lowest known serial number for this style 3 Larson Brothers built  guitar and likely one of 7 or 8 known to still exist.  And to be clear I am aware that they know of one with the serial number of 603  my guitar I am selling  here has a lower number than 603.
