    Description

The label is original and is burned stamped inside  "Roots Solo Violin, Stradivarius Model, Anno Dom 1915 No. 522, made for and sold by E.T. Root &Sons,  Chicago USA".  Root and Sons did not make violins they sold only imported German made violins in America.  My mother was told by her mother that it was made by Heberlein.
My great uncle, Peter Anderson, bought this
violin from Root & Sons in Chicago in 1915. Peter was
a gifted violinist.  After his death it was given to my mother and it was played again by a niece.
I want to sell it so it can be played again.
This violin is in exceptional condition and has a wonderful tone.  It has been newly strung by an authorized violin company.  There is a new bow and new case.
The walnut wood glass case is handmade.   It locks in the back and can be hung.
