    Description

Beautiful late 19th century violin with a Caspar Strnard label and signed/dated inside of top plate "Leandro Bisiach Milano 1894"
    LOB 35.7 cm
Condition: There are only three tiny cracks on this instrument, all repaired. That's it! Every part of the instrument is original.
Selling the violin as a speculative instrument as I do not know for sure its provenance or have a certificate.
US00 of clean up, touch up, and set up work along with new Italian/Cremona fittings. I can send you a copy of the invoice so that you can see exactly what got done to the violin. You can also discuss the instrument in detail with Mr. James Banicki (violins) by calling him directly as he did the work.
The violin impresses with its stunning beauty and one-piece maple back. Beautiful red-brown lacquer. Interesting choice of wood for the top plate. It's wide grain spruce, which is typical of violins from the Milan school.
The violin also impresses with excellent sonic properties. Don't believe me?  Not a problem!
Try out the violin for 30 days and hear and see for yourself.
30-day trial period for domestic buyer.
    Full measurements available upon request.
