Vintage Medeco Protector High Security Padlock w/ 2 Keys, NOS

Description

Beautiful New Old Stock (NOS) Medeco protector High Security Padlock. This lock dates from the mid to late 1980's. As such, it is equipped with the Medeco Level 2 keyway that was in use at that time. The lock is brand new and has never been used.
This lock came to prominence during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis where a picture was published showing this lock model on the gate of the US Embassy.
The lock is chrome plated cast solid bronze body, stainless steel shackle, and a 6 pin Medeco Level 2 key cylinder.
The dimensions of this lock are as follows:
2 1/2" wide
1- 5/8" thick chrome plated cast solid bronze body
7/16" thick hardened stainless steel shackle
2-1/4" high shackle clearance
The padlock weighs 2-1/4 pounds!
