More and more we're finding newer, high-end acoustic guitar makers guilty of producing instruments that are "all show and no go." Whether it's tone woods being sourced from old-growth forests, magic of aging or the bygone builders with know-how that's been lost or forgotten over the years, these older acoustics really are in a league of their own. Here's a wonderful example of a dreadnought with tasteful aestheic appointments that don't cross into gaudy. Great projection, clarity and single note definition are the hallmarks of true sound. Professionally set up and ready for action straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Typical play wear for its age with no real significant stand outs - the usual minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear - particularly around the soundhole & on the back of the neck. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a cool vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, particularly under the B-string in the first few frets. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Sealed tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with solid spruce top & 5-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides with single-ply binding. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 4.8 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original warranty card & photos of the previous owner playing the guitar.
