    Pantera
    was an Italian import mid-engine sports car that was made by Ghia and sold through Lincoln-Mercury dealers. The car didn't survive the new anti-pollution laws that came into effect in the US during the mid 1970s.
    This ad describes the "
    new
    " 1974 version of the car with little changed from the earlier models except the overly heavy 5mph safety bumpers front and back. The added weight reduced the power and speed of the car over previous years.
