Original Vintage 1972 Gibson Hummingbird Custom acoustic guitar == One-owner, she bought it in 1972, played it for a year or two, and put it away == VG++ to Exc (8.5 to 9/10) cosmetic condition, no cracks or repairs, no finish checking, a few small dimples, light scratches mainly on back at upper bass bout (pictured), a few clearcoat chips over the top binding, one 1/4" x 1/8" ding on top at bottom center (pictured but hard to photograph) with another 1/8" x 1/16" ding about an inch to the left (those are the worst "flaws" to the finish) -- pickguard is tight and flat, top is flat with the non-adjustable bridge tight and solid (bridgeplate looks great, too) == Straight neck with 98% frets, headstock in great shape, original Grovers == HOWEVER -- the neck joint is beginning to separate slightly so it will require a neck set sooner than later -- very playable as-is with action 1/8" 12th fret low E and just over 3/32" high E --and it sounds great, very articulate (thank goodness Gibson decided to return to the non-adjustable bridge instead of the goofy 60's adjustable tone robbing version!) -- but I'd recommend, and am selling priced to allow for, a neck set now -- this beauty is too nice not to do it! -- (I'm storing it with the string tension loosened) == Includes nice newer hard case ==
