This is a New Jersey Colony 15 shilling Currency note (cat: NJ-157) dated December 31, 1763.

This piece is in circulated condition.  Printing is legible.  Paper is firm with a tear along the vertical midline that has been repaired at some time (see reverse view).  Signatures are faded but legible.
A nice piece for the colonial currency collector.
Be sure to review the pictures so that you can determine the grade for yourself.
Colonial currency sometimes have mica flakes embedded them when the paper was made as a security device to prevent counterfeiting.  These sometimes produce light spots in the photograph.  They are not holes, just light reflecting off of the mica.  Another security feature sometimes found embedded in the paper are colored silk threads, typically blue or red.  This was a serious concern of the colonials as some notes will have printed on them "To counterfeit is death".
