Gorgeous Old German, is being auctioned off to the highest bidder regardless of price!!
Lovely golden brown varnish covers the highly attractive tiger flamed one-piece maple back with matching ribs, neck and scroll. Strong straight spruce top of
medium grain toward the flanks and fine grain towards the center. Well selected seasoned tone wood was used to make this beauty!
The violin dates to the 1920’s if not earlier!
The old inside label reads:

The violin measures 13 5/16” Inches from the back!
Commendable, solid workmanship throughout. With an attractive deep cut scroll, neatly executed purfling, carefully carved corners, well defined edges, and robust f-holes. Attractive contour with good arching makes the violin a winner!
Best of all the violin looks to be in Excellent condition with only a few scuffs, minor scratches an signs of use. No damage around the sound post or bassbar areas.
The “A” string is unraveling, it will need to be replaced at some point. The soundpost is up on the correct position.
