Question: How do I activate a smoke detector and how do I know it's activated?
Answer:
Press and hold the test button for more than 3 seconds until the LED light is on, release it within 2 seconds, and the smoke detector will make a "beep", indicating that the activation is successful.
If the smoke detector is activated, long press the test button to enter the test alarm, and the buzzer will sound a cycle of 'Beep' for 0.5s and stop for 0.5s, and the LED flashes once per second. It must be kept pressed for a long time, and the release of the hand will immediately exit the test alarm mode.

Special Function:
Standby Mode: After the product is installed, if the smoke alarm device is operating properly, the red LED-Flashing once every 40 seconds.
Alarm Mode: When the smoke alarm device detects particles of combustion and the concentration of smoke reaches the alarm threshold, the red LED will flash once per second with pulsating alarm until the air is cleared.
Low Battery Mode: When the battery voltage is low than the threshold, an intermittent “chirp” with red LED flashes once every 40 seconds.
Fault Mode: If the battery-operated smoke detector detection signal decays below the threshold, the alarm chirp occurs without LED flashes every 40 seconds.
Silence Mode: During the unit is alarming, press the test button, it will be paused the unit alarming for approx 10 minutes. At this time, the red LED will flash once every 8 seconds.
No-Disturb Mode: When the fire alarm device is in fault mode or low battery mode, in order to avoid noise disturbing your sleeping in the nighttime, pressing the test button temporarily silences this warning tone for 10 hours, it will again prompt you to replace the alarm after 10 hours.
Test Mode: Test the unit to ensure proper operation by pressing the test button. At this time, the red LED will flash once per second with pulsating alarm until test button is released.
