This auction is for a 4/4 size Gunter Von Aue Guarneri del Gesu model Violin Made In Cologne, West Germany. It is in superb condition for it’s age. West Germany was re-united in 1990 making this instrument at least 32 years old, if not older. Robertson & Son is a long standing distributor of fine instruments out of Albuquerque, New Mexico and is the only company that sells these top quality European violins. It is made of quality European hardwoods with a great finish, beautiful flamed maple back, well aged spruce top and ebony finger board. This violin comes with an Andreas Eastman Pernambuco Wood Bow with Mongolian Horsehair, fully adjustable center mount Kreddle chin rest with two chin rest plates, four height adjustment posts and the Kreddle collar bone pad. The violin also comes with it’s original ebony wood center mount Guarneri style chin rest if you prefer it. Included as well is the Continental case made by the American Case Company. In this case there is a tube filled with three brand new Dominant Strings (the E was installed on the instrument), a hygrometer, clay humidifier capsule, an Everest shoulder rest, Dampit humidifier, an extra Stradpet Titanium TailGut, Sartory Fine Rosin, SnarkX violin tuner and a micro fiber cleaning cloth. It is in remarkable condition with no scratches or cracks and has a rich resonant tone.
