Here's a beautiful Santa Cruz Guitar Co. left-handed Firefly parlor guitar (Type RJ) in its original factory hardshell case. Not sure when the guitar was built, but my guess would be within the past 15 years. I believe the specs for the guitar can be found on the Santa Cruz Guitar Co. website.
I took this guitar in on trade recently and know very little about it, except that its condition is excellent throughout, and it appears to be original throughout. Neck is straight and still tightly adhered to the body. Binding is good all around. Guitar has wonderful, resonant tone, but I'm right-handed, so pretty much all I can do is strum through the strings.
A few minor, scattered marks in the finish, but no signs of abuse, neglect or poor storage. The most notable marks are from lacquer checking, and they're visible in the eighth and ninth photographs. I've enhanced the marks so that you can see them better. Under normal room lighting, they're easy to miss.
A really well made guitar, as you should be able to see from the photos. Moreover, it's one of the few guitars I've ever come across whose case is as carefully crafted as the instrument it houses. I haven't played a guitar regularly in more than 30 years, yet it's such a beautiful instrument, if I weren't right-handed, I'd probably keep it.
Please note, this is a
Parlor
guitar. Lower bout measures 13" across. Guitar length is 36".
That's about it. I will pack it carefully and properly, and I can assure you that it will show up at your doorstep in the same fine condition in which its leaves mine. If you'd like, I'll de-tune it before shipping -- your choice. I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my feedback, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly.
