Original, Authentic and Rare Civil War Identified Confederate Cartridge Box with Projectiles. This is a really rare Confederate Cartridge Box that held bullets and cartridges for the soldier's rifle. I've had this in my personal collection a long time and when I acquired it, it had all of the 15 buck and ball projectiles inside the box. One of these buck and balls is very hard to find, let alone 15 completely intact. Rebel cartridge boxes alone without the projectiles exceed the asking price for this item. Obtaining any Confederate item that is identified to the soldier who owned it is very hard to find. Even harder to find is an item identified to a Confederate officer. This box is identified to a Captain in the 1st Tennessee Infantry. This box also includes many documents that come with the box about the Rebel soldier. His name will be disclosed to the new buyer.
