    "Nicolaus Augustin Chappuy; Paris, Mirecourt. b. 1730, d. 27.9.1784.  Not to be confused with Nicolas C.  Settled in Paris around the middle of the 18th cent., where he enjoyed  a certain reputation, but returned to Mirecourt."
