Nice Old German Violin

Nice Old German Violin for auction. This violin is very old with many repairs done on both the top and back. At some point in this violins life it has a major accident. There are many parts of the back that were replaced where different pieces of maple were grafted in. You see this throughout the violin where there is different wood used in repairing the button on the neck or on the peg box for example. There are multiple repaired cracks on the top and a sound post patch on the back. I do believe this violin was revarnished when all this repair work was done. This violin is playable at this time and would benefit from a new setup. (bridge, strings and sound post) The length of the back is 14”. Happy Bidding!
