L Yosco Mfg company,,,label says: ...174 3rd Avenue,,,,New York,,,Banjos Mandolins,and Guitars.....This turn of the century mandolinetto is in very nice condition with low action....Beautiful solid tight grained spruce top,that is crack free ,,,may be adirondack ......Brazilian rosewood back with a tight closed superficial crack that is not noticeable.,,is nice and tight ....Brazilian rosewood sides ...open gear original tuners with solid ivoroid buttons work perfect,.and hold to pitch perfectly......pick guard may be real tortois,I dont know for sure,,,may be celuloid but is intact and original,,,,,,rosewood fretboard with as new frets...no fret wear to speak of at all...14 inch scale length...action is perfect,,,nice and low...sound is loud with lots of sustain....a lot of these mandolinettos dont sound that great,,,,this one has excellent quality of sound...sweet,balanced, and good volume..it rings out forever and is loud......solid mahogany neck,,,real mop fret markers...The hard shell case is in really nice condition,,,plush clean green velvet interior,,,good hinges,,,good leather handle...not bad for a case at least 100 years old,,,,.This case alone considering its age is exceptional...instrument fits it like a glove....1 and 1/16 inch width at the nut.....bone nut and ebony and bone bridge...instrument intonates corectly all the way up the fretboard.......overall length is 24 and 1/2 inch...lower bout is 9 inches...upper bout is 7 inches...bid with trust...you wont be disappointed with this one, in good playing condition...will ship priority....
