How to determine what size bracket:
The bracket will be mounted to the outside of a wall or cabinet. Measure the depth of the shelf or countertop you are mounting and subtract 2-4 inches from that number. For example, if your shelf or countertop has a depth of 22 inches, subtract 3 inches to get 19 inches. This subtraction is to stay away from the outer edge of the countertop, which is usually 2-4 inches. Since your measurement is 19 inches, you will order a 20x10 Large Shelf Bracket.
