    Dreadnought Guitars
When you think of the big, bright sound of an acoustic guitar, you're probably thinking of the dreadnought guitar sound. Originated by Martin in 1916, the dreadnought acoustic guitar has become one of the most popular and most produced acoustic models on the market.
Built with a larger body capable of belting out warmth and organic tone with the projection to fill a room, dreadnought guitars are favorites of Merle Haggard and Bob Dylan and found everywhere from country to indie and beyond.
