Go ahead and tell me this is not the coolest Weissenborn you’ve ever seen.
Starting with their popular Extra Deep configuration, now being copied on several continents,
Imperial Valley Guitar Co.
added the rope binding coveted by Weissenborn fanatics to the top, back, fingerboard and headstock of this beautiful instrument and added excellent high ratio gold and ebony "violin" tuners. There is a Rosewood and maple fingerboard, a one piece Rosewood mustache bridge with bone saddle and nut. The body, neck and figured solid African Ribbon Mahogany top are finished in gloss lacquer.
It's fully 5 inches deep at the back end, tapering to 3 1/
2 inches up near the headstock. The body is 15 1/2 inches wide in the hips and the scale length is 24 3/4", like an original Weissenborn or an early Rickenbacker.

The Limited Edition uses the Fishman under saddle pickup with their Presys+ preamp system. This system features 4 bands of EQ as well as a notch filter for feedback busting and a phase switch, another tonal variable that is particularily useful for adding some extra fullness at low volumes. The + part of Presys+ is the built-in tuner, always handy in any case, but especially if you're going to be changing tunings in the middle of a set.
As with Imperial's other limited editions, there are no options. The Royal Hawaiian Limited Edition comes with everything they've got, including the Fishman Presys+ pickup system and a custom fit extra deep hard shell case.
