Description
Up for auction is my 53-year old 1968 Gibson B25N (sn:906966) in a stunning original Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish... which has aged and checked beautifully. The finish on this B25N would make the Gibson Custom Murphy Aged Shop jealous! The medium profile neck is straight with a good working truss rod and showing minimal relief... the frets show little ware and is mostly in the cowboy area. The bridge is adjustable and the action is set medium/low. A very easy playing and sweet sounding guitar... has a nice warm well-balanced tone. The guitar is 100% original with no repairs! The spruce top has a minorvertical grain line split below the bridge (Pic-5) you can only detect it by sliding your fingernail over the top. My Luthier said no attention is needed. There is a minor split on the mahogany back left side center (pic-8) again no attention needed. Both of these issues have not changed over the past years. The bridge has no chips, breaks or cracks and is still very adjustable... the bottom back corners are just starting to lift a little. The hardshell light weight case is a newer 'Access Case' in very good condition. I posted 25-pictures, please exam closely and ask any questions.
The Gibson B25N
