  • Condition: Unused caps remaining from a bag of 1000, too many to count. While we suspect that over 900 caps remain, we make no such claim; it’s certainly more than 500. The bag has some small holes in it and the original blue FisherBrand label has fallen off. Photographs depict the detailed condition of the actual item for sale; they have not been altered apart from cropping. Several photographs include a standard 10 mm pathlength silica cuvette, a standard disposable cuvette, and rulers, none of them included in the item for sale, to demonstrate the size and use of these caps.

    Description

    Square-shaped polyethylene stoppers for use in standard (10 mm pathlength) square cuvettes, including disposable cuvettes you might use in assays or glass/silica cuvettes as illustrated in the photographs. Flexible fins on each cap allow a tight fit that will not damage the cuvette.
    Cap dimensions are an odd mix of English and metric units. They are 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.25 in (12.7 x 12.7 x 6.3 mm) but the fins are sized to fit snugly in a 10 x 10 mm (internal dimensions) cuvette.
    Please carefully read the Condition Description, especially the part where we only claim that the number of caps is greater than 500. We wanted to avoid counting each one to avoid unnecessary handling.
