Fender Guitar Model CD-140SCE/NAT Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Natural Finish. Measures about 41" long, 15 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" deep; weighs 4 pounds 11 ounces. Missing the electric pickup preamp. Missing the small white nut piece at top of neck. Otherwise good solid condition. Neck looks nice and straight. Please refer to my 12 detailed photos.
It came from the inventory of local luthier Steve Hickman. He was in the process of making it whole again but sadly passed away.
Stephen S. Hickman passed away from this life on September 17, 2021, at the age of 60 after a prolonged illness. He enjoyed a career in mechanical drafting prior to his illness.
Stephen enjoyed entertaining friends and family. In later years Stephen enjoyed repairing, designing, and building guitars.
He was a well respected luthier and partnered with South Shore Music in Weymouth Landing to make some incredible custom made guitars that sold for over 00.
The CD-140SCE expands on its siblings’ features with upgraded Fishman Presys electronics, rosewood back and sides and the addition of a hardshell case. The single-cutaway dreadnought body and solid spruce top provide robust tone, and the ”Easy-To-Play” neck is comfortable for all playing styles. Topped off with a tortoiseshell pick guard and rosewood headcap, the CD-140SCE is ready for whatever you throw at it, at home or on the stage.
