  • Condition: Beautiful instrument. Small shallow pit in the wood on the left front. Scratch on the left side, however, varnish is smooth above it, and it is only visible at certain angles. No evidence of crack. Violin has been played extensively with no issue of crack. If there were a crack, the varnish would have cracked as well. Multiple additional pictures are available of this area. Please inquire further if you wish to have these pictures sent to you for your review. Violin also has a 30 day home trial period with no questions asked refund of purchase price if returned in the same condition. This issue was present when violin was appraised (see appraisal letter) and the appraiser did not have any issues with it. l only bring it up for full disclosure, so there are no questions , and nothing to hide. *** Todd Goldenberg, the maker of the violin, has examined the scratch, and agrees it does not go into the wood. *** Violin is otherwise like new.
