One of the most prolific of the German violin workshops, the firm of Ernst Heinrich Roth produced an enormous number of consistently high-quality instruments in the 20th century.
This particular violin is extremely well preserved and produces an absolutely astonishing sound,: open, vibrant, full of overtones with a huge projection. It is truly a solo instrument.
