There are two light scratches on the violin, they are difficult to see and I have photographed them to show them at their worst. Please see pictures. Also two small chips where the chin rest would attach.
The violin is made of durable Carbon-fiber and Kevlar composite. The hollow body design gives it a slight acoustic resonance that improves the amplified tone with almost no risk of feedback.

The Aquila has a resonant cavity rather than a solid hard body, which results in a sense of familiarity that the "planks" don't quite deliver. In terms of response, it more closely resembles the feel of an acoustic instrument. In terms of sound and presence, the electronics are field-tested by seasoned performers and the preset output is perfect for heavily amplified performance environments.
