This pin was available only on opening day of California Adventure, February 8, 2001. The pin is the opening day logo artwork, an illustration showing elements of the park. At the top is Grizzly Peak (with a Soarin' glider behind it); in the middle is the entrance to the Hollywood Backlot and the Animation attraction building; at the bottom is Paradise Pier. Although hard to see in the scan (white lettering against yellow), it reads "Grand Opening February 8, 2001" at the top of the pin. Came on a dark blue decorative backer card. The pin measures 2 1/2" (6.3 cm) tall by 1 3/8" (3.5 cm) wide. The reverse has a "Disney's California Adventure Exclusive" logo and "© DISNEY, Taiwan."
