Maker born at Mouttes 1833, worked at Mirecourt and Paris
Very responsive, powerful, carrying sound
Typical French style, nice cut f holes, beautiful carved scroll
Fine inlaid purfling
Original varnish, neck has nice projection
Spruce top, nice flame, Maple back, matches ribs and neck
New set of Dominant strings, new bridge
No cracks, has some dings and scratches due to age, but violin maker has retouched
Cleaned and polished, ready to play
No certificate (no guarantee on authenticity), but inside have letters and old label
