Description

Up for auction is this Antique 1930 Hermann Dolling Full Size Violin.
I am selling the violin for parts or repair only.
I am not an expert in violins and would not know how to test the violin.
The violin is in good condition.
The back of the violin looks to be 2 piece.
The back of the violin is very nice with no visible cracks.
The front of the violin does appear to have a couple of hairline cracks that lead up to the “F” hole (please see pictures).
The violin also shows some wearing on the sides (please see pictures).
On the inside of the violin it has a label that reads - “Dollings, Franzosische Violine, Schutz HD Junior Marke, Made in Germany, 1-10-1930”
The violin has its original tuning pegs.
The pegs turn as they should.
The violin measures 23” long.
The back of the violin measures – 14” long.
The violin comes with 2 bows.
1 bow is in good condition and the other bow looks like it has been repaired.
I did not see any markings on the bows.
The violin also comes in what appears to be its original case.
