Antique 4/4 "Stainer" Violin/Fiddle Repaired & Ready to Play/2 Bows & Hard Case

Looks to have been cracked and repaired through the years. It is very solid where it had been fixed. It does have 2 bows with it, I have 2 photos showing what was black tape on the bow, and a photo what I had found under the black tape, and I still don't know if that brass is a fix, or just what it is or was? The bow works fine, though. The case is very solid, and fasten well, has kept the violin in pretty decent condition. I'm not a fiddle player, but when I run the bow over the strings, it does sound very mellow and rich. May just need tuned and put into service, for all I know, it maybe in tune? Thanks for looking.
