    Description

    This is a very nice antique violin made by Anton Posch. It will come exactly as shown.
    There is a dealer in Europe asking ,000 for the same violin. It is in restored condition though.
    This violin came from the estate of a Physician in Newport Beach here in Southern California.
    Founder of the Viennese School of Violin making. Anton Posch was born in Vils in 1677 and was taught by Mathias Fuchs. He was active in Vienna starting in 1706. He was appointed Luthier to the Royal Court is 1721 and adopted a brand of a double headed eagle. His work is of exceptional quality and mostly follows the Stainer pattern. He died in 1742.
