Gorgeous Alex Spainhour full size 4/4 violin, made in the Draisens Upstate Music Center in West Germany in 1991. The rich amber color and prominent grain on the front of this instrument are striking and the liquid luster of the back is truly spectacular, with caramel tones and some light lateral flaming. There is some light cosmetic wear - chiefly some scuffing to the right side of the front and the edge. The sound post is present but needs to be reset - a very minor expense and inconvenience reflected in the price. Comes with a solid hard case with a plush black interior and a Glasser bow - serviceable but with thinning hair. A beautiful and very well made violin for a rising enthusiast, or an adult eager to explore (or to become reacquainted with) the instrument.
