Description

This guitar came into the shelter for a complete setup to see what could be done with a inexpensive acoustic guitar that started life with most of the right parts to get a decent setup. I started with the neck filing any sharp fret ends and changing the nut so it had proper string height over the first fret, the tuners were checked and tightened. The truss rod was adjusted to straighten the neck. I then moved on to the bridge and lowered the saddle to get the proper string height. I added a new set of EJ15-3D D'Addario phosphor bronze 10-47 light gauge strings to bring out the ringing tones they produce. The guitar is now user friendly and sounds great. The rounded cutaway plastic back takes advantage of the grape holes placement to give great projection of sound for a inexpensive guitar. This proves once again that a properly setup inexpensive guitar can compete with guitars that cost 4 to 5 times as much only this time it's a acoustic guitar.
