    Description

    This gently used Shimro violin would make a great instrument for a student!
    My daughter, who played violin and viola in college, tested this instrument and found it to play very nicely!
    The violin comes equipped with Prelude strings and the tailpiece has built-in tuners.  The instrument tunes easily and stays in tune.
    The body is in good shape, although it does show signs of use such as edge wear and a gouge in the varnish on the top of the violin.  There is also a scuff on the edge of the pegbox. There are no cracks and the fingerboard and neck are secure.  The label says that it is handmade and has a solid carved top and back.
    The bow is in good condition with plenty of hair!  It does show signs of use, such as darkening of the hairs near the frog.
    The padded case is in very good, used condition, and shows very few signs of wear.  A couple of the zipper pulls have been replaced, but the zippers work fine! There is a large pocket on the top and lots of space inside to store accessories!  The case also features a hygrometer to measure humidity.
    A shoulder rest and rosin are also included.
