    Dear Violin Lovers and Collectors
    HELP US TO SAVE THE OLD VIOLIN!
    I am offering this beautiful good sounding 4/4 violin from my private collection.
    The label says:
    „FRANTIŠEK ZYKA
    HOUSLAŘ
    BRNO 1928   OP. 156

    The violin has opus number 156. The violin maker František Zyka was born on January 6, 1904 in the city of Brno.
    He was a pupil of Master Jan Podešva and Antonín Galla at the Josef Lidl manufactory.
    He followed the example of Stradivari and Guarneri.
    His instruments have a yellow-amber, red-colored lacquer.
    Violin makers Jaroslav Staněk, Bohumil Buček, František Tesáček, Karel Matuška .. and his son František Zyka jr. František Zyka died on April 12, 1971 in the city of Brno.
    Bottom plate made of  two pieces.
