I think it is in playable condition. The top has a small split (1") that seems completely stable. I used a Walnut stain pen to hide all the chips in the edges. Good match. Description

A customer asked me to look out for a beginner violin for his 10 year old daughter. I was out hunting for guitars and stumbled across this instrument. (Turned out he wanted FULL SIZE - so I am selling this on)
I have NO IDEA what make and model (or country of manufacture) to attribute to this instrument.
Violin is so clean, I assumed it was Chinese, but after handling it for a bit, it may be German.
Bow is marked Glasser - It has some hairs clipped off, but seems to me in playing condition.  Frog has the word Glasser on the end (white plastic) and just the letter G on the side of the frog (black wood). Assuming the bow was sold with the instrument, this suggests to me it may NOT be Chinese import.
It has one label indicating a strad copy. Also has 2004 (Date) marked with pen.
It has one label marked Glaesel Shop Adjusted which implies professional setup - MENC Certification from 2004 - Cleveland OH
A third - small computer printed label with a date (2004) a serial number and indication it is 1/2 sized. My instinct is that this label was added by Glaesel. This suggests that they found a serial number in a place I cannot see it, or Glaesel also sold the instrument and pulled the SN from their invoice or build sheet.
I have very little violin experience and the best we can say is that some previous owner spent the money to have it set up by a professional.
