Vintage 1973 Mercury Station Wagons dealer showroom brochureG+ to VG
condition
This is a catalog/brochure covering the station wagons for Mercury in 1973.
I think this one was likely used in the dealership as a salesman's copy because it has been 3-hole punched to live in a notebook (old punches - this is nothing recent.) This one is one of my favorites in this particular consignor's collection because the artwork is so nice. Plus it's unusual to see a brochure on a mid-priced line that was devoted to station wagons.
The catalog covers the Marquis wagons (Marquis and Colony Park) as well as Monterey (the lower line full size: think the Ford Galaxy level that was lower than the LTD), the mid-sized Montego, and the Villager. If you wanted the fake wood trim on your Mercury wagon in 1973, that would be the Colony Park or the Villager.
Staples and pages are tight, no creases or tears. We note a bit more page wear than usual on the fold, so this shows that this was a working copy of the brochure. We don't see a lot of toning on the paper .
We rate this vintage brochure a
Good+ to Very Good,
subtracting for the 3-hole punch.
