For Your Purchasing Consideration:A VERY COOL 1950's HELENE CURTIS "EMPRESS" PROFESSIONAL SALON CHROME HAIR DRYER. Very Rare.
A true Beauty! Highly Collectible! Tough Find! Would make an awesome display for any salon. The photographs do not do justice to this rare, beautiful piece. Much more appreciative in person I can assure you. Fresh out of an estate of two elderly ladies that were in their 90's when they passed. Both sisters never married from an estate from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Acquired from the basement of the estate where it sat for a little over 70 years until now. An incredible find! Manufactured in the good ole U.S.A. The Helene Curtis logo doesn't light up. An easy fix by an experienced electrician in my opinion. Tested. Works, it took seven minutes for the dryer to activate fully to its capability. Probably the first time it was activated in decades. The overall condition is remarkable for its age. Has a dial indicator for the different four settings as follows: COOL / WARM / HOT / EXTRA HOT. The instructions are literally indicated on the control dial on the side of the dial. 110 Volts / 3 Amps / 640 Watts, at the time period when this unit was manufactured, this unit was considered the world's most powerful hair salon hair dryer according to the nomenclature plate as photographed. No disappointments with this cool vintage professional hair dryer.
